Why I started fashion blogging!

By Hand On The Hip - 8/02/2016

Hello friends!
I am pretty sure all of you must be wondering why I started blogging about fashion. "Why another fashion blogger?" would be a thought that would have crossed everyone's minds! Some of you might think I don't even qualify to become a fashion blogger. Well, haters gonna hate! :D But the ones who know me, know about my undying love for styling and fashion. To me, it's a way of expressing my innermost feelings! Dressing well and dressing appropriate gives me all the confidence in the world!

Touche!
The way you dress not only affects you but also influences others. We've heard the saying "Do not judge a book by its cover" a gazillion times, but there are times when the packaging and the material used to bind a book does create an impact on one's perception about the book.

Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice :D

The Journal of Experimental Social Psychology has come up with a term called "enclothed cognition", which says that the clothes one wears has an influence on how he thinks. As per their experiments, wearing a doctor's coat seemed to make a person more attentive than wearing a painter's coat did.

Anyway, I firmly believe that one needs to be presentable at all times. But can all of us afford Gucci, Prada and Fendi? I don't define fashion by brands. Fashion, to me, needs to come from within. It's all about understanding the chemistry between pieces of art that a variety of artists have put together. Be it a super expensive trench coat by Armani or a pair of kohlapuris from a flea market or some vintage jewelry your mom owns, putting them all together and making a statement - that is fashion!

To sum it up, my USP is affordable yet chic fashion! I wanted to create something that every regular Indian girl could relate to. So come and deep dive with me as I show you how creative you can get without burning a hole in your pocket!

Love,
