When it comes to exercise, one of the main things that can put people off is the cost of joining a gym. Although you can find lots of affordable offers, often they’re not the best quality and they’re packed full of people at all hours of the day.

Whilst a gym is a great way to work out, there are lots of different wants you can exercise at home and save your money. With that in mind, here are 6 easy ways to get fit at home:

  1. Follow Exercise Videos And Tutorials

Before the days of YouTube, it used to be impossible to follow workout routines and classes at home unless you went out and bought a DVD. Now, there are lots of videos and routines available online for free. Ranging from 15 minutes to an hour long, you can switch and change up your workout every single day if you wanted to. For examples, you can visit YouTube here.

  1. Buy Your Own Personal Weights

If you’re going to be doing your own workouts at home, it may be worth investing in some of your own weights. Whether you’re buying the smaller handheld weights that perfectly accompany a routine or larger weights that help tone and build muscle - having your own set at home is a great way to motivate you to work out whenever you’ve got a spare minute.

  1. Set Up A Home Gym

If you enjoy having your own weights at home, you may want to consider setting up your own home gym, space permitting. Although it will be more expensive, to begin with, having your own gym at home means you never have to pay for your membership. Also, having your gym in a place that is easily accessible means that you’re much more likely to go and workout as it means you don’t have to leave your house.

  1. Invite A Buddy Round To Join You

If you don’t like to exercise on your own, consider inviting a friend over to join you. Whether you do some training in your garden, workout in your home gym or you go for a run around your local area - working out with a friend might help keep you more motivated.

  1. Follow Fitness Bloggers And Influencers

If you’re looking for some inspiration for ways to work out at home, following fitness bloggers and influencers is a great place to start. Often they’ll post videos of the workouts they’re doing at home, helping give you new and fun inspiration every day. If they’re not posting video routines you’ll find them sharing their favourite snacks, how they stay motivated and they’re top tips for working out. It’s a win-win situation!
