As the warmer months approach, it’s important to increase your water intake. Dehydration can hit you without you being aware, and once you’re dehydrated, it can end up wiping you out for the rest of the day. To avoid this, it’s good to have a bottle of water on you when you’re out and about. If water isn’t something you enjoy drinking, try flavouring the water with some fruit or vegetables. Cucumber works well to detoxify the body and lemon is also a good cleansing fruit. Drink out of glass, rather than plastic as reusing plastic bottles can eventually become dangerous if you’ve had them for a while.

Improve The Air In Your Home

You’d be surprised by how poor your air quality can be, especially if you live in the city. Not everyone has the ability to live outside of city areas, where the air is cleaner. To improve your own air quality, it’s a good idea to invest in some house plants that can help with purifying the air. Not only that but they are a good mood booster! Cleaning the air is crucial for your skin because all types of bacteria and dirt float through the air.

Define A Good Skincare Routine

Looking after your skin should be important, whatever your age. So it’s good to define a good skincare routine that you can stick to on a daily basis. You should have a cleanser that removes makeup and all the dirt that’s been on the surface of your skin. You should then follow it up with an exfoliant, which is then followed by a serum or moisturiser. It doesn’t need to be too complex, but you should look into what products would work best for your skin type and evidence-based skincare works best. Your skin type also changes due to a number of factors, so it’s good to change up the products you use every so often.

Wear An SPF Daily

With the sun out a lot more than usual, your skin is going to be exposed to sunlight and more importantly, UV rays. UV rays can certainly do a lot of damage to your skin if you don’t provide a defence for it. So wearing an SPF on the daily is a must and you can also get makeup and skincare products that have an SPF in it. It’s also nice to have the smell of sunscreen on your skin as it’ll make you feel like you’re on holiday, even if you aren’t!
