Feel Like Changing It Up? Ideas For You.

By Hand On The Hip - 11/15/2019

There are times when you simply just get bored with your look. Perhaps you took the comfort of leggings as a new piece of you as a person, and want to break free. Or, you’ve been wearing clear lip balm for ages and want a change. There are a number of things that you can do to change it up with ease.

You can change the look of your eyes with a quick swipe of eyeliner. If you want a soft but bright appearance, then grey is the way to go. Blue eyeliner seems to always be on-trend. White on the lower waterline will brighten your peepers up and widen them too. Brown can look smokey and subtle while giving some definition. Of course, you could always learn a black cat flick.

If false lashes aren’t your thing, then maybe it is time for you to try out fiber mascara. It adds thickness and length without any glue or fiddly bits. Check out the reviews on fiber mascara before just grabbing one - so you know what you are getting.

You can do a few things if you want to make a statement or just do something subtle. You can head to a hairdresser and have a chat about what is possible for your hair type and between you come up with something that will work for your needs. Or if you are feeling brave, you can use a cruelty-free, vegan colour like Arctic Fox and change up your hair colour at home. There are options that wash out after 8-10 washes, so if you don’t love the color, you can change it or leave it to fade.

Simply flipping your parting from the middle to the side, or giving yourself a zigzag parting makes a much bigger difference than you might think.

If you want to break out of wearing the same thing all the time, spend some time looking at fashion blogs, magazines, and Pinterest. Make a note of the styles that you love, and see what you come up with. When you have the cash spare head to a thrift store and pick up the style and cut, you want to try and practice styling it at home. If you don’t love it, you can take it back and donate it for someone else to love and try again with something else.

Remember that you don’t have to by whatever the current trend is, you can buy what you feel suits you. Trends come and go, but fashion lasts.

You can make a big statement with very little cash by choosing a few chunky pieces of jewelry in bright colors or interesting styles. You can get cheap statement earrings and necklaces while you work out if it is going to be your new style. Invest more money when you’re ready to make a bigger commitment.

Fishnet socks are a super simple way to add some texture and edge without needing you to think too hard about it.
