It's All In The Eyes

By Hand On The Hip - 12/17/2019

They say that the eyes are the windows to the soul. And as such, millions of people love to play them up. There are so many incredible online tutorials now, and so many variations of make-up you can treat your face, and especially your eyes like a blank canvas every single day.

But if you are ready to go bold with your peepers, then here are some quick tips for you!
Brows

Your brows can change the look and shape of your whole face. You might not be into plucking them personally, but you could opt to have a brow treatment at a medi-clinic. Tinting the brows and getting them shaped means that you won’t have to deal with them every day. They will be ready to go whenever you are. If you prefer to fill them in, use short, light, feathery strokes to fill in any gaps in the brow hair, and follow the natural arches of your brows.
Primer

If you have ever watched Nikkie Tutorials, you’ll know that she will never apply eyeshadow without ‘Optimus priming’ first. The right primer can smooth your lids and make your eyeshadow last longer and look brighter too. It is even more important to use a great primer if you are a lover of pressed pigments and glitters; the staying power is unreal.
Crease - Please!

If you are looking for some quick definition, then you can add a light flesh-toned base shadow, and then deepen up the crease with a shade that is two tones darker. This will give your eyes some instant dimension with minimal effort. Remember to blend, blend, and then blend some more.
Line-Nah?

If there is a sure-fire way to make your eyes look amazing, it is with eyeliner. You can use a light brown or taupe tone if you want something more natural, or you can go for a dramatic and classic black to bring some wow factor. If you like to play outside the lines, then you can get a range of color eyeliner that will allow you to create some interesting looks with minimal effort.
Lashes for Mile

Not everyone is blessed with long beautiful lashes. But, the right mascara or false lashes can make a massive difference to your eyes. If you are aren’t fabulous with the tradition glue false lashes, then magnetic lashes are having more than a moment right now. Fiber lash mascara is also a big hit, as it adds incredible length to lashes, without the fiddley glue of a falsy. Read some reviews on the best mascaras to achieve the look you want. You can go wrong with a little bit of volume, though!
Eye Cream

If you want to have a great base to test all of these fun things out on, then you are going to have to invest in an eye cream that is hydrating and gentle. The best eye creams aren’t too expensive, and you might be surprised to see the results after a few short days.
