What I found in my mum's handbag

7/29/2016 0 Comments
Hello peeps!
It's been a long, long time since I wrote here. But no worries, lots of exciting things happening, lots of new collabs on its way and of course, until then, I shall try my best to keep posting.
So I happened to raid my mother's handbag the other day and you will not believe all the cool things she owns!

Here is a picture of her handbag. Love how the color is so subtle and classy!

Handbag from Code
For starters, she had some basic make-up stuff in her handbag.

Mum's travel make-up

Perfume - Mademoiselle Arbel a Londres by Christine Arbel Paris
Foundation - Revlon Colorstay
Lipsticks - Revlon Copper Chrome 105 and Lissome Eleganz E 408
Eye-liner - Lakme Insta-Liner

On digging deep, I found these cute things in her bag!

Golden phone case

Foldable make-up pouch

A cute coin pouch

Crochet phone case

An embroidered wallet

9 must haves in your make-up bag!

7/07/2016 0 Comments
Hi people!
There are days when I don't feel like applying any make-up on my face while I go out. Yup, not even kajal! I've had people come up to me and ask me if I'm sick. I'm sure every woman has faced this problem at work. But this has worked more as a disadvantage, although it has helped my skin a lot. When I've been asked to suddenly attend a business meeting or have had to go meet some friends and have had no make-up on, people ask me things like if  I've been sleeping well or not! That's when I decided I should have these products in my make-up bag at all times! You never know when they might be useful!

BB Cream
For starters, BB cream or Beauty Benefit cream is the best thing you can use as a base for your make-up. It is not as harmful as a foundation cream is. This keeps your skin healthy and covers all the pores and marks.

BB Cream

Compact Powder
A good long-lasting compact powder is a must have! Dabbing some would give your skin that finishing touch and hides all the flaws. You can also substitute this with talcum powder, but it may not give you a long-lasting effect.

Compact Powder

We Indians have big, bright eyes and it is important to show them off a bit. Highlighting your eyes makes a big difference. A good kajal will make your eyes look bright and also gives you that soothing effect.

If you want to go that extra mile to make your eyes stand out, use a dark liquid eye-liner on your eye lid. This will enhance your eyes and make you look gorgeous.

Eye Shadow
Eye shadow is absolutely necessary if you love some color. If you want to go dramatic, make sure you use some bright colors on your eye lids.

Eye Shadow

Lip Balm
Using a lip balm makes your lips moist and healthy. As most people have dry lips, it's absolutely necessary to use lip balm as a base.

Lip Balm

Lip Liner
Depending on how big or small your lips are, you can always use a lip liner and adjust how you want your lips to look.

Lip Liner

Finally you can fill your lips with a bold or dull lipstick of your choice. Pinks, nude shades, red are some must have colors!

Don't we all want them pink cheeks? Dab some blush on your cheeks and you're good to go!

Sweater Weather!

7/07/2016 0 Comments
With summer almost gone, I am having a wonderful time playing with my sweaters! And this gorgeous sweater from the US is from White House Black Market. I wore my Kraus denims with it and my Ray Bans to spice up the look. I like how this sweater gives me a classy look as well as all the warmth I need!

Maxis are my best friends!

7/05/2016 0 Comments
What can you wear to the beach, for a coffee date and also later to a club? What is the one piece of clothing that combines style and comfort? Yup, it's a maxi! Maxis have always been in style! The post-settlement Europe saw a lot of maxis among their women. They later got popular in the 60's because of Elizabeth Arden. And now in the 21st century, they have made a spectacular comeback.

I had a wonderful shoot with Vinoth from https://www.facebook.com/VinothRaja.ClickZone/?pnref=lhc in this sexy animal print maxi from People.

Good morning!

Don't walk away!

Feelin' hot hot hot!

Pandas be the best!

Hey folks!
Well, this post is not about pandas. Obviously. But they said I could be anything. So I became a panda? Err. No! Black and white being one of my most fave combos, I decided to do a shoot at work with my black and white top from Arrow. It's classy, sassy and a lot of fun! Here are some pictures.

Best skin practices for summer!

7/04/2016 0 Comments
Hi people!
Summer is always driving your skin and hair crazy! There's always excessive oil, sweat and too much acne! How should one go about keeping his skin oil free and clear? I am not the one to use too many skin care products, but there are some things I do on a regular basis that my skin absolutely loves!

1. Water
Drink at least 2-4 liters of water everyday. You will see results only after a couple of weeks. For a camel like me who never got thirsty, drinking water was a torture. But now I force myself to drink at least 1-2 liters everyday and that has helped keep my skin young and glowing.
I use water as make-up remover as well. My skin doesn't react too well with make-up removers. All I do is wash off all my make-up with lots of cold water.

2. Rose Water
If you are not too satisfied with water, there is always rose water. It is one of the most underestimated products. Washing your face with rose water is extremely healthy for your skin.

3. Soap
Using soap on your face can make it extremely dry and is not at all advisable. But if there is one soap that enhances your skin, it is Johnson's baby soap! I probably use this product more than I use anything on my face and it always keeps my skin baby soft!

4. Face-wash
To get rid of dust and acne, use a face-wash with scrub at least two times a day. I do not have a personal favorite since I experiment a lot. But currently, I am fixated on this product by Calvin Klein. You can check it out on one of my earlier posts.

5. Talcum powder
I have very oily skin and nothing keeps my skin soft and dry as talcum powder does. I wrote about it in my earlier posts. Here's a glimpse of the talcum powders I recommend.

6. Face-pack
It gets difficult to use face-packs while you're at work for over 13 hours. But do make some time over the weekends or at least once a month and pamper your skin with some natural products. I use a nice sandalwood face-pack and that cleanses my skin like no other product!

I hope all these tips were useful. Make sure you take good care of your skin. Nothing makes me happier than having healthy, glowing skin!

Hello to my dear fellow fashion lovers!
Polka dots are always every girl's favorite! I have this really cute top by Madison that I wear to office all the time. Thought I'd wear my Lee Cooper denims with it and I got my Ray Bans on as well. Do check out the crazy things I did!
