These are a few of my favorite things

11/30/2016 0 Comments
Hello everyone!

Euro Trip Series is back again! Our next stop was Salzburg, Austria. I am a major fan of The Sound Of Music. And landing in Salzburg and visiting all the places where the movie was show was a dream come true! So after spending a night in Munich, we took a train to Salzburg the following morning. The train tickets were somewhere between 10-20 Euros.

We reached Salzburg in a couple of hours and we checked in to our hotel. We stayed at the Meininger Hotel and it cost us around 16 Euros per person for 2 days. Most of our plans were impromptu and we decided to do the same in Austria.

We spent the first day walking around in Salzburg. Although the weather was getting worse by the day, the city was beautiful! The Sound Of Music tour is a must for all you Maria fans out there! Unfortunately we missed the tour and decided to visit some of the places where the movie was shot on our own. I was involuntarily singing all the songs from The Sound Of Music as we were walking. We went to Mirabell Garden and danced around the fountain. We walked across the Makartsteg Bridge and eventually took the tram to the Hohensalzburg Fortress. The city shuts by 6 pm and by now it had started pouring! However we made it to the top and went a Mozart concert. It was breathtaking! This cost us around 40 Euros and was worth every penny! We stopped by at an Italian restaurant for dinner and then headed home early because we had some kick-ass things planned for the next day!

We woke up at 6:00 am and left the hotel, walked till the nearest train station, took a train to another train station and boarded the train that took us to Werfen. Well, Werfen has an ice cave exploration trek. We purchased the tickets to the ice caves, walked up to the caves and went for the guided tour of the cave. It was magnificent! It was minus six degrees inside the ice caves and had over thousand slippery steps, but the experience was incredible! We trekked back, went back to the train station and got back to the hotel and took off for the next destination. Overall, we must have spent around 50-70 Euros that day. Salzburg or Austria in general is a very expensive city and has a crowd of classy people. The language spoken is German and the beauty of the city lies in it's history and culture.

That's all folks! So long, farewell, auf wiedershen, goodbye! :D

Six in the city

Hello!

What's the best part of being a fashion blogger? Free stuff? Fame? Glory? Nope! You are constantly exposed to amazing people! And I was overwhelmed last month, I met some wonderful girls at a meet up hosted by Zapyle. Not only did we speak about the diversity in out styles, but we also figured we have one thing in common - our love for fashion! We collaborated for our very first shoot last month and the theme was "Black and White". I am sure this post has been long overdue, so what better day than a boring Saturday to share a thing or two about these lovely ladies.

The Perky Princess
Meghna from All That's Fancy, with her big light colored eyes and luscious light colored hair, she can woo anyone! She has a very simple yet eye-catching style and can fascinate anyone with her attire. She believes in fast fashion and is a Wooplrista. She loves shopping and loves to blog about fashion and make-up products. Meghna decided to wear a simple white tube top with her blue denims and to add some black to the outfit, she wore a long tunic shrug, black pumps and a black choker. Don't forget to check her blog for some everyday fashion!

The Sexy Scientist
Shivani from The Velvet Radio is an inspirational icon in the fashion blogging world. Now why I call her a scientist is because she is constantly experimenting with fashion. Creativity just oozes out of her and you can see that here how she paired an Iron Maiden hoodie with some ethnic dupatta and jewelry. Music and fashion are her biggest passions in life. Do check out her blog and you will be amazed to see what all one can do with fashion and styling.

The Bad-ass Beauty
Kruti from The Red Lip Rover is a kick-ass biker chick who has her own bad-ass persona that can make anyone go gaga over her. Her style seems to be a bit of everything, although she personally likes street style. She goes that extra mile to ensure that she stays super fit. Yup, you can see that from her pictures here! She wore a tank top and some track pants and a cozy jacket to complete the look. She is obsessed with her dog and for more, you need to navigate to her blog!

The Slender Sweetheart
Sushmitha from High On Stilettos is always full of life and as the name of her blog suggests, she is always high on stilettos or rather, fashion. She is always in sync with the latest trends and classy is the word I would use to define her style. Her model-like figure and oodles of grace she possesses is going to take her places. Here she wore a simple white top with black pants and to add some color, she wore blue pumps and a silver clutch. Make sure you visit her blog to see what else she is capable of.

The Bubbly Belle
Urvashi is not a fashion blogger yet, but hopefully, very soon, she will be. But as of now, she is a major fashion enthusiast and is all about street style. She works closely with The Velvet Radio team and you can see how she's creative with her style too. She wore this embroidered kurti with a pair of white sneakers and yet she rocks this look! You can follow her on her instagram at @urvashianand.

And of course, there's me! :D Here's a sneak peak of what I wore to this shoot. You will have to wait a bit longer for a full post on my outfit for this fun shoot with my girl squad! Stay tuned!

Most of you might wonder how we work together and don't see each other as competition. Well, we believe is helping each other grow. Girls compete with each other while women empower one another. And on that note, sayonara!

Shake off that cold shoulder tonight

11/21/2016 0 Comments
Hello, hello, hello!

We all like to be bold, go goth, wear them chokers once in a while and spit out some rage. Chokers, for one, are really in this season. I recently went on a haul with Zaful and got some of the things that I have been eyeing for quite sometime now. So what is this look all about? I have put together some must-haves for every girl that likes to play with the latest trends. Although, these are all basics you should own, when put together, they rock your socks!

Off-shoulder denim top
I am a big fan of off-shoulders and col shoulder tops! When I found these in denims with some delicate lace at the bottom, it was true love. One would think this is a very girly top, but you can do so much with this! The top is from Zaful.

Ripped leggings
We have already been doing the ripped denims thingy for a long time now. How about ripping those boring black leggings too? I love how chic they look! These are from Zaful as well, but you could probably DIY these leggings.

Choker and black wrist bands
It's time to fill your jewelry boxes with chokers of different colors, sizes and materials. Chokers look so trendy and I got these from a local fancy store. The black wrist bands I am wearing are something I used to wear all the time back in school and college. I like how they go with any outfit.

White sneakers
I don't even need to get started with how crazily in demand these sneakers are today. If you are a brand freak, then you should definitely pick up Adidas Superstars or the ones I have from Puma. But if you want these plain ones, then you can get them from Street Style Store. Now these guys aren't the best folks when it comes to quality or timely delivery, but they have some cool stuff for reasonable prices.

My make-up, as always, was light and my lips were red. But when I put all of these together, I was surprised how amazing they made me look. If you agree, then make your purchases now!

Going boho-casual with Zaful and Namakh + $100 Giveaway

11/10/2016 10 Comments
Hi everyone!

This week has been full of surprises! Trump being elected as the president of the U.S. of A is probably a big slap on the face! It really crushes my heart to see how Trump supporters have been ill-treating non-whites in the past couple of days. In the meanwhile, our own Modi is creating history with his masterstroke! All the corrupt morons are going down!

Anyhow, I spent my week making some huge life decisions! Collaborating with Zaful was one of them! I don't know how many of you have come across this portal, but I fell in love with their clothes instantly!

I have always wanted an off-shoulder white top and this one that I am wearing here caught my attention. Although I am wearing it the other way around, I think it still looks great! You can wear it with pretty much anything! I wore a pair of cute shorts I picked up from Namakh at Sunday Soul Sante a couple of weeks ago. Namakh makes amazing, comfortable clothes like these shorts and they are about take over the exhibition space. I like the cute pom-poms that go around the bottom of these shorts.

To add some color, I accessorised the outfit with some chunky colorful bracelets I collected from all over the world and this sling bag from Kanvas Katha. To give it a casual feel, I wore my blue and white striped sneakers from 20 dresses.

My Dresslily Wishlist

11/08/2016 0 Comments
Good morning!

It's winterrrrr! Brrrrr! Well, almost! The perks of living in Bangalore/Mangalore - you can always wear sundresses and shorts! :D It never gets too cold around here. I have taken a break for a couple of days from work and now that I have some time on my hands, I decided to explore online all the available options to enhance my wardrobe and look the best I can.

During my research, I came across Dresslily, an online clothing portal. The modern-day-girl clothes and shoes these guys have are totally in sync with my style! I put together a wishlist that I would totally want to flaunt this winter. And the best part is, there's a SALE going on! :D

Look # 1: Checkmate
This look is perfect for office! It looks so comfortable! I am not a big fan of heels, but I would definitely get these chunky white block heels that are totally in these days. I am all set to play office-office in this outfit and these pair of heels.

Look # 2: Lace and love
I fell in love with these denims in five seconds! I like the lace around the bottom, giving the shorts a feminine feel. I'd pair it with this wine color, off the shoulder crop top that I absolutely loved. This outfit is perfect for a day out with your girlies! The block heels from the previous look would complete the look.

Now that you have a taste of Dresslily, what are you waiting for? Check it out while the sale lasts!
