Mere, tumhare, sab ke liye Happy Diwali!

Namaste to all my dear friends!

First of all, a very happy and safe Diwali to all of you! I hope you guys are having a colorful, bright and noise-free Deepavali this year. I just got home this morning after 9 hours of being thrown up and down in the last berth of a sleeper bus and there's so much to do!

Usually I start this day by making a beautiful Rangoli at our doorstep with colors and flower petals. Last year I made a colorful diya and the year before, it was a peacock. I still need to figure out my Rangoli design for this year. Any ideas?

During lunch time, I let my taste buds enjoy some delicious home cooked food that involves bisi bele bath, raita, papad and some payasa. Once the sun sets, we decorate our stairway and compund walls with some pretty diyas and might light a sparkler or two to bring in the festive mood!

And now to my favorite part - shopping :D As a kid, I would look forward to every Indian festival because my mom would buy me a new dress. Deepavali, being one of the most important festivals, I would get to pick the dress I wanted! (And would always end up burning a part of it! :D) This year I am yet to do my Diwali shopping, but I thought I could help you guys out pick a semi-desi outfit for your Diwali party.

As all of you are aware, we have been shooting with Zapyle pretty often these days. So I picked up this pre-loved Anita Dongre outfit for my Diwali post. The intricate detailing on the blouse along with the mirror work made me fall in love with this outfit in two seconds! And that's not even the best part! Look at the back of the blouse! I mean, WOW, just look at it! It is so sexy! I could picture myself wearing something like this for my wedding. The skirt is so soft and comfortable giving the outfit a western edge. I wore silver hoops with this to match the silver mirror work and tried out two pairs of shoes - a shimmery black pair of wedges from Jimmy Choo that is available on Zapyle for a throwaway price and a pair of classy black stilettos from Mango. Which one do you like better?

I think  it's high time you guys browsed through Zapyle and started shopping!
