Dye hard!

By Hand On The Hip - 2/28/2017

Hi guys!

What is your take on jazzing up your hair a bit? Do you think it's a complete waste of time and money? Or do you think change is good? Well, I am the kind of person who hates monotony. I like constant changes in my life. When it comes to hair care, I am an absolute dud. I have always been skeptical about going to a parlor and getting my hair dyed. But for some strange reason, I wanted ombre hair and landed in YLG salon one Tuesday evening.

For those of you who don't know what ombre means, it's basically a French word for shading. The hair at the roots are darker and as it goes towards the tip, the shade gets lighter. The hair expert used INOA Supreme on my thin, damaged medium length hair and the procedure took about 70-90 minutes. Unfortunately, I do not remember the exact shade, but it was something in blonde. I wanted red initially, but blonde seemed more tempting.

I spent about 2800 bucks with shampoo and blow drying and also got a coupon worth 1250 INR! Yay! I cannot wait to go back and get pampered again! I cannot even tell you how many compliments I happened to receive the following day for my new hairdo!

I suck at hair care! I do! I absolutely do! I don't even know why I need to use a conditioner. But there was a 25% off on 2 products at YLG and the salon expert recommended 2 products - L'Oréal Professional Hair Spa Detoxifying Shampoo and Conditioner. It has tea tree oil that nourishes your scalp and is perfect for oily hair. I got them for 600 bucks instead of 800. I have been using these products for a week now and they cause the least amount of damage to my hair as compared to a lot of other shampoos I have been using.

So for those of you who need a change, don't wait for others to give you approval. If you want it, go get it!

Love,
